WordPress · Shopify · Core Web VitalsA slow site loses customers before they see a single word. We find what's dragging your site down (usually giant images, too many plugins, a heavy theme or cheap hosting), fix it, and get your Core Web Vitals into the green.
We test on real phones over mobile data, not just a fast office connection. Most of our fixes are one-time jobs with no ongoing fee.
Why speed matters
The slower a page loads on mobile, the more people hit back before it finishes. Those are customers who never saw you.
Page experience, including Core Web Vitals, is part of how Google ranks pages. Slow sites have a harder time.
Slow landing pages hurt your Google Ads quality and cost per click. Speed fixes can make your ad budget go further.
Core Web Vitals
Google measures three things about how real people experience your site. Here's what they mean.
Largest Contentful Paint. How long until the main thing on the page (usually the big photo or headline) shows up. Google wants 2.5 seconds or less.
Interaction to Next Paint. How quickly the page reacts when someone taps a button or opens a menu. Google wants 200 milliseconds or less.
Cumulative Layout Shift. Whether things jump around while the page loads, like a button moving just as you tap it. Google wants 0.1 or less.
What we fix
Photos straight off a camera or phone, uploaded at full size. We resize, compress and convert them to modern formats like WebP.
Every plugin adds code. We remove the ones you don't need and replace heavy ones with lighter options.
Some themes load a lot of code on every page whether you use it or not. We trim what we can, or recommend a lighter setup.
Cheap shared hosting is often the bottleneck. We can move you to faster hosting. See hosting plans.
Caching saves a ready-made copy of each page so it doesn't have to be built every visit. We set it up and tune it.
Chat widgets, old tracking tags, social feeds and embedded videos. We delay or remove the ones that slow things down.
Fonts and images that make the page jump around. We reserve space and load them properly.
Years of old revisions, spam comments and leftover plugin data. We clean it out.
How it works
We test your key pages on mobile and desktop, look at your real-user Core Web Vitals data in Google Search Console, and tell you what's slowing things down.
You get a list of fixes and a fixed price. Most speed jobs are a one-time cost.
We work on a staging copy where we can, so nothing breaks on your live site.
You get the before and after numbers. Real-user data in Search Console takes a few weeks to catch up, and we check back.
Common questions
Aim for the main content to show up in 2.5 seconds or less on a phone, which is Google's target for LCP. Faster is better. Most small business sites we test are well over that on mobile.
You're probably on a fast connection and your browser has the site cached. PageSpeed Insights tests a first visit on a slower phone connection, which is closer to how a new customer sees it.
It can help, especially when your competitors' sites are faster. It's one factor among many, but it also keeps more visitors on the page, which matters just as much.
There's less we can change on those platforms, but we can still help with images, apps and embeds. For WordPress and Shopify we can do a lot more.
Mostly, yes. But sites get slower again as plugins, photos and scripts get added. A care plan keeps an eye on it.
No, and nobody honest will. We aim for good Core Web Vitals and a site that feels fast to real customers. A perfect lab score isn't the goal, more calls are.
