Custom, mobile-first websites that turn local visitors into customers - built by a Halton team since 1999. Choose your city below, or call us to talk it through.
Small business web design
A good website is the hardest-working member of your team. We design and build custom sites for small businesses that are fast, mobile-first, easy to update, and built to bring in local customers - not templates you’ll never grow into.
We build on both custom HTML and WordPress, set up online stores, and ship every site with the on-page SEO foundations it needs to rank. You own everything, and there are no long-term contracts.
What’s included
Designed around your brand and your customers, not a recycled theme - clean, fast, and mobile-first.
Flexible WordPress sites you own outright and can update yourself - new builds, redesigns, and migrations.
Sell online with WooCommerce or Shopify - catalogue, payments, and Ontario tax and shipping done right.
Every site ships with the on-page SEO foundations - clean structure, schema, speed - so it can rank.
What it costs
Nobody publishes numbers, which makes it impossible to know whether a quote is fair. Here are ours, with the reasoning attached.
Three pages of your choosing, custom designed rather than dropped into a template, mobile-first, with a working contact form, on-page SEO foundations and analytics connected. Launched in two to three weeks. The right spend for a new business, a trade, or anyone whose current site is a Facebook page. Extra pages are $175 each. See the $999 starter package →
A step up from the starter package: a well-configured WordPress site on a solid theme, up to about five pages, mobile responsive, contact form, on-page SEO foundations, launched in two to three weeks. The right spend for a new business or a single-service company that mainly needs to look credible and take a call. A template built properly beats a custom site built carelessly, every time.
Layout and structure designed around your services rather than a purchased theme, up to about ten pages, full on-page SEO, schema markup, analytics and Search Console configured, two rounds of revisions. Worth it when you have several services to organise, multiple locations or service areas to rank for, or a brand that needs to look different from the competition.
WooCommerce or Shopify, product catalogue setup, payment gateway, Ontario tax and shipping rules configured properly, inventory, mobile-first checkout, and staff training. The variable is catalogue size and how much integration your existing systems need.
Broken forms, slow load times, security warnings, mobile layouts falling apart, a developer who disappeared. We audit first and tell you honestly whether it needs a rebuild or three specific fixes. Quite often the answer is the fixes.
Full breakdown of what everyone charges is in our Ontario website cost guide. Every quote is fixed-fee and itemized in writing before any work starts. No hourly meter, no surprise invoices, no long-term contract.
How we build
The phone layout gets designed first and the desktop version follows, rather than a desktop design squeezed down until it fits. Most small business traffic in Ontario arrives on a phone, so that's where the design starts. We test on real devices and a throttled connection, not a browser window dragged narrow.
Compressed images, minimal scripts, no bloated page builders stacked forty plugins deep. Google's Core Web Vitals feed your rankings directly, and a slow site loses positions it should be winning. We check them before launch, not after a client complains.
You own the files, the database, the domain and the hosting. No proprietary CMS, no platform licence you have to keep paying, no rebuild from scratch if you decide to work with someone else. This matters more than most people realise until the day it matters a lot.
Every site ships with the on-page SEO foundations: proper heading structure, unique titles and meta descriptions, schema markup, XML sitemap, Search Console and Analytics connected. Ranking takes ongoing work, but the foundations shouldn't be a separate invoice.
