One package that works for any kind of small business, because you choose the three pages. Below is exactly which three we would pick for a dozen common business types, and why.
One package, any business
A landscaper and a bookkeeper both need a three-page website. They do not need the same three pages. The landscaper needs a gallery, because nobody hires a landscaper from a paragraph. The bookkeeper needs an About page, because you are hiring the person, not the firm.
That is why the $999 starter package lets you choose. Same price, same build quality, same two to three week turnaround, whichever three you pick. Below is what we would choose for a dozen of the business types we build for most often around Halton and the western GTA. If yours is not listed, call us and we will think it through with you on the phone.
Our pick, by business type
Twelve common small business types and the three pages that do the most work for each. These are recommendations, not rules. You can pick any three you like.
Home · Gallery · Contact
Nobody reads three paragraphs about mulch. They look at photos of finished yards and decide in about eight seconds. Put the gallery second in the menu, load it with before-and-after shots from real jobs, and let the Contact page carry your service area list so you rank for the towns you actually drive to. See our landscaping website page.
Home · Services · Contact
Emergency work is a phone call, not a browsing session. The phone number goes in the header on every page, the Services page lists each job type in plain words people search for, and the Contact page names every town you cover. Skip the About page. Nobody with a flooded basement is reading your origin story.
Home · Menu · Location
Three things get searched: what do you serve, where are you, and are you open. A real Menu page as HTML rather than a PDF, because Google can read one and not the other. The Location page handles hours, map, parking and the phone number for reservations.
Home · Services · Team
Healthcare is a trust purchase. The Team page with real faces and credentials does more converting than anything else on a clinic site, and the Services page lets you rank for each specific treatment. Book appointments through your existing system and link to it. See orthodontist SEO and therapy centre SEO.
Home · Price List · Location
People want to know what a cut costs and whether you are close. Publish the prices, honestly. The salons that hide pricing lose bookings to the ones that do not. Location covers hours, map and parking, and a booking link goes in the header.
Home · About / Bio · Contact
You are the product. The Bio page carries your track record, your neighbourhoods, your designations and a decent headshot. Listings live on your brokerage platform, so do not spend a page duplicating them.
Home · Services · About
Same logic as the realtor, different buyer. The Services page needs to be specific, because "business consulting" ranks for nothing while "QuickBooks setup for Ontario contractors" ranks for something. Contact details go in the footer sitewide.
Home · Gallery · Services
Kitchens, bathrooms, basements, additions. The Services page splits those out so each one can rank on its own, and the Gallery proves you can actually do them. Contact goes in the header and footer rather than eating a page slot.
Home · Location · About
If you are not selling online yet, the job of the site is to get people through the door. Hours, map and parking on the Location page, the story of the shop on About, and your Google Business Profile doing the heavy lifting. Add e-commerce later when you are ready.
Home · Services · Request a Quote
Residential and commercial are two different businesses with two different buyers, so split them on the Services page. The quote form should ask for square footage and frequency, because a form that gathers nothing means a phone call to gather it.
Home · Services · Testimonials
Class schedules and memberships on Services, and results from real clients on Testimonials. Fitness is sold on proof, and a page of specific reviews beats any amount of adjectives about your methodology.
Home · Services · Location
Brake job, oil change, safety inspection, detailing. Each named separately so each can rank. Location carries hours, the map, and whether you do drop-offs. Phone number in the header on every page.
Not on the list? Retail with a service arm, a nonprofit, a franchise, a bed and breakfast, a driving school. We have built for all of them. Give us fifteen minutes on the phone and we will tell you which three pages to pick.
Two rules of thumb
If your phone number is in the header, the footer and the hero on every page, and your form sits at the bottom of the home page, a dedicated Contact page is often the weakest of your three. Spend the slot on Gallery or Services instead. The exception is when you have a physical location, where a Contact or Location page with a map earns its place and helps your local rankings.
Every customer has one question standing between them and calling you. For a landscaper it is "is your work any good." For a clinic it is "can I trust this person." For a restaurant it is "what do you serve and are you open." Whichever page answers that question is your second page. The third is whatever answers the next one.
The eight questions you answer on the phone every week, written out. It is cheap to build, it saves you calls, and answer engines like ChatGPT and Google’s AI overviews pull from pages structured this way. Worth a slot more often than people expect. See answer engine optimization.
A blog landing page with two posts from 2024 on it looks worse than no blog at all. If you are not going to publish at least monthly, spend the slot on something static that keeps working without you.

The practical ones, answered without the sales pitch.
Three pages of your choosing, custom designed rather than dropped into a template, built mobile-first, with a working contact form, on-page SEO foundations, schema markup, an XML sitemap, and Google Analytics and Search Console connected at launch. One flat fee of $999 and you own every file. Hosting is separate at roughly $20 to $30 a month.
Then get more than three. Additional pages are $175 each, quoted before we build them, and you can add them at launch or a year down the road. But start by asking whether the extra pages will earn their keep. A great deal of small business web spend goes on pages nobody visits.
For service businesses where people call you, it is Home, Services and Contact. For visual trades like landscaping and renovations, swap Contact for Gallery and put your phone number in the header instead. For anyone selling their own expertise, like consultants, agents and therapists, an About or Bio page usually outperforms a services page. The table on this page has our pick for a dozen common business types.
Almost certainly. In 25 years we have built for trades, clinics, restaurants, retail, professional services, landscapers, salons, studios and a good many one-off businesses that fit no category. The three-page structure is flexible enough to suit nearly any local operation.
Before we start building, yes, no problem. Once a page is designed and built, swapping it for a different one counts as a new page. We will always tell you before that line gets crossed rather than after.
Three well-built pages will outrank ten badly-built ones, but page count is not what drives rankings for a local business. Your Google Business Profile, your reviews, your local citations and your on-page structure matter far more. The starter package covers the on-page part and we will make sure your business name, address and phone match everywhere. Climbing beyond that is ongoing SEO work.
A three-page starter build runs about $999 to $1,500. A five to ten page custom site runs $3,000 to $6,000. E-commerce starts around $4,000. Full agency projects run $5,000 to $25,000. Ongoing hosting is $20 to $30 a month regardless. We laid it all out on our Ontario website cost guide.
No. The build is a one-time fee with a fixed scope in writing. Hosting is month to month and you can leave whenever you like, taking the site with you. We have never seen a good reason to lock a small business into three years of anything.
